One Boston Place Awarded BOMA's 2008 TOBY Earth Award

BNY Mellon Center at One Boston Place has received the 2008 BOMA Boston TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) Earth Award! The TOBY Earth Award is given in recognition of a building management team that preserves and enhances the internal and external environment through an all around “green” building program.

The six major components of the TOBY Earth Award are Reduction of Environmental Risk; Indoor Air Quality/Green Cleaning; Recycling; Energy Conservation; Water Conservation; and Interior Finish. The BNY Mellon Center at One Boston Place is the first building in Boston to win this award. As a Boston Recipient, we will now compete in the Mid Atlantic Conference to be held in the spring.

US Green Building Council Recognizes One Boston Place With LEED EB: O&M Gold Certification

The US Green Building Council has recognized One Boston Place as the first building in the world to earn a Gold level of certification under the recently released LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance rating system. With the recognition, One Boston Place is now the highest rated LEED EB building in the City of Boston.

LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an environmental benchmark developed by the U.S. Green Building Council to "maximize operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts."
